Alice's Adventures in Businessland

Recently I stumbled across an interesting book - All Things Alice by Linda Sunshine. I’m not necessarily a big Alice in Wonderland fan, but this book caught my attention. Now, don’t get me wrong; I’m not saying that I don’t like the books. I’ve read and enjoyed Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There, I watched and enjoyed Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, and I was enthralled by the most recent bizarre results that (as always) occur when Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are paired. But I am just not a rabid fan. I have seen it as a good piece of work that stands the test of time, but not something I need to worry my pretty little head about.

News Update: Disaster Strikes Troubled Broadway Play One More Time

More troubles for the problem-plagued Broadway production Auditing: The Musical. The most recent incident occurred when the rigging for a stuntman playing altruistic lead auditor Peter Parker failed. In the climactic scene, the young, impressionable auditor Mary Jane, succumbing to the promises of wealth and riches made by the evil corporation, jumps into an open cesspool. Peter dives from the lofty heights of the internal audit department to snatch Mary Jane in mid-air, saving her from a life of useless success. Witnesses present during the event stated that, while Mary Jane’s fall was halted, Peter plummeted into the open pit. A YouTube video shot by one of the audience has gone viral in auditing circles with almost 25 hits.

Shy of a post I put up last week, it has been a REALLY long time since I blogged. Well, that ain’t exactly the spirit of blogging, is it? I mean, in this world of instant information (notice how I refrained from saying instant disinformation – dang, guess I did say it), the idea of not blogging because “I just don’t feel creative” or “I don’t have any good ideas” or “I don’t wanna” doesn’t quite work.
