Continuing to Audit on Snowy Evening
Whose work this is I think I know.
His cube is down the hallway, though;
He will not see me working here
The evening filling up with snow.
My manager just thinks it queer
To test with wrap-up meetings near.
These details will not make or break
The darkest findings of the year.
He said this habit I must shake
The urge to find each last mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of turning page and downy flake.
I love the details dark and deep,
But I have deadlines I must keep,
And work to do before I sleep,
And work to do before I sleep.
The urge to find each last mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of turning page and downy flake.
I love the details dark and deep,
But I have deadlines I must keep,
And work to do before I sleep,
And work to do before I sleep.
