It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Well, it’s that time of the year again. Let’s all warm up a cup of “auditor’s cocoa” (a little more bitter than most chocolates), gather ’round the blazing workpapers (gotta do something with the old paper files), and raise our voices in those classic audit carols we’ve all grown to know and love. Following is an all-time favorite.
FIND YOURSELF A SOLID LITTLE FINDING
Find yourself a solid, little finding,
One that all agree,
Makes sense and can be defended easily.

Make the audit pay.
From then on no one will question what you say.
Years ago it was easier, so much breezier to say,
“This is wrong ’cause we say it’s so.” And then we’d just go away.
Through the years our jobs got so much harder — questions come our way.
Now they make us prove it each and every day.
So find yourself a solid, little finding now.
