A Quick Note on Your Happy Place

No one really has time on a Friday. We are all striving for one thing – get through the day and get to the weekend. Accordingly, whenever I actually post on a Friday, I’ll make it a quick hit – 200 words or less

We face the daily grind. We battle the limitless paperwork. We feebly struggle against the meaningless red tape. We founder through the pointless procedures. We cringe during the mind-numbing meetings. We cower before the unopened emails. We stagger under the boundless bureaucracy. We stare blearily at the unblinking computer screen.

We work at work.

There are times when it is hard to go one whole day (sometimes even one whole hour) without screaming, crying, kvetching, sobbing, whimpering, beating our heads against the wall, stabbing our eyes out with pencils, bludgeoning…(perhaps I have said too much.)

We all need a happy place – somewhere we can retreat and remember how nice life can be.

My happy place is Yellowstone National Park – specifically Old Faithful Geyser. Today I share my happy place with you, a link where you can visit – whenever you like – to see, live, eruptions of Old Faithful (and sometimes eruptions of Lion, and Beehive, and Castle, and Grand, and Aurum, and, on that once every couple of years rare occasion, Giantess.)

I watch the geysers to escape. Feel free to join me.

Where is your happy place?

  1. If anyone is checking out the link today, you won't see much.  Funny thing about the way snow obscures sight lines.  Keep checking for clear days; you won't be disappointed.

  1. Thanks for the link to your happy place.  If only I could get past our firewall to get there :)
