Spinning the Country Hits on WIIA

Today, a slightly different tune for y’all.   Normally here at WIIA, we’re a little bit rock ‘n’ roll. But today, we’re gonna be just a little bit country with this smash hit from 1978:  "Mama’s Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Auditors"

Auditors ain't easy to love and they're hearts are ice cold.
They'd rather give you a finding than diamonds or gold.
Rusted out concepts and old faded test sheets,
And each audit starts a new day.
Once he finds the issues and brings it all home
He'll prob'ly just ride away.

Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be auditors.
Don't let 'em pick samples or write bad reports.
Let 'em be doctors and lawyers and such.
Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be auditors.
'Cos they'll never stay home and they're always alone.
And they’ll never find someone to love.

Auditors like dingy old board rooms and clear pristine spreadsheets,
Proof of controls and test work that lasts through the night.
Them that don't know him won't like him and them that do,
Never admit it to friends.
He ain't wrong, he's just different but his pride won't let him,
Do things that he don’t thinks right.

Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be auditors.
Don't let 'em pick samples or write bad reports.
Let 'em be doctors and lawyers and such.
Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be auditors.
'Cos they'll never stay home and they're always alone.
And they’ll never find someone they love.

As always, send your requests to us here at WIIA. We’re always looking to play the best in Internal Audit music.
