Legal Privilege in the EU
If you rely on the advice of counsel for matters in the European Union, such as when you perform investigations or have personnel-related issues, or are auditing the legal department in an EU nation, you should read this article in the Financial Times.
Basically, it is saying that you may not be able to rely on attorney-client privilege when the attorney is an employee. The privilege may only extend to the use of outside counsel.
