Did You Say What I Thought I Heard -- Third Time's the Charm

Back to the ever popular continuing series where we quote quotes quoted by actual quoters. Yes, people actually said these things during meetings I attended.

“You can’t sit on the laurels anymore”

“We’ve got to solve some solutions.” (Probably more true than the speaker knew.)

“I hope you can all see a little bit of transparency”

"We got thrown a left ball curve"

“I’m gonna try to do my better half and stay on top of it.”

(Announcement at the beginning of a meeting.)  “Are we missing everybody?”

“Kudos on both sides of the coin.”

“Over in my CAATs corner.”  (So that is where those IT geeks come up with their ideas)

“Your own glasses are where you’re at.”

(Another salute to glasses) “That depends on what pair of glasses you have.”

“The easiest low-hanging fruit is just laying there.”  (I think that would be the rotten fruit.)

"This results from poor managerial hygiene."

"During our all-hands-on meeting"

And the best phrase I’ve heard in regards to sheer “What did he just say?”
“Down in the dumpers.”

Keep your eyes and ears open, and feel free to share. If nothing else, it’s a way to stay awake during all those meeting.
