Contribute Your Knowledge - Learning Resources for The IIARF Bookstore

The Institute of Internal Auditors Research Foundation is seeking authors to share their ideas and practical experiences in internal auditing. We are currently seeking authors for The IIA Handbook Series and other publications.

These small-sized publications provide practical guidance for auditors and management. Each handbook addresses typical and unusual factors in the business or control environment, what is needed to begin the audit assignment, important risk and control factors, sources of information about the topic, common audit objectives, the auditing process, and reporting. Topics of interest:

  • General auditing procedures and techniques.
  • Specific topic or industry auditing procedures.
  • Techniques on managing the function of internal auditing.
  • Procedures for reviewing controls and conducting tests of information systems.
  • Using computer-aided software and other techniques.
  • Specific topics on operational, governmental, fraud, contract, and compliance auditing.

Other Publications

  • Books - Long and short, our books cover a variety of topics and serve as references for practitioners and as material for college classes.
  • Tool Kits - Collections of helpful hints and sample documentation that internal auditors use while performing specific work that they may not have  experienced previously.
  • Self-study Courses - Basic information on a particular subject and self-evaluation questions.
