Q: What is an eBook
A: An eBook is an electronic version of a previously published and printed book. Sometimes, books are written specifically for the Internet, and they may contain helpful features like word or subject searches, and hyperlinks to other sites or other sections of the text
 
Q: What devices can be used to read an eBook?
A: An eBook can be read from a computer screen, a laptop, a tablet, a Smartphone or other eBook devices.
 
Q: Is there a special format I need to use to read my eBook?
A: The format used depends on the device you will use to read your eBook. E-Books.com maintains a useful Device Compatibility Table which can help you select the right format for your personal needs. Our eBooks are available in PDF and ePub. Before you download your eBook, we highly recommend that you identify the best file format for your device and download the software or application that you will use to read your publication.
 
Q: What software application will I need?
A: The software or application (“App”) also depends upon the device you will use to read your eBook. PDF can be read on any computer or handheld device with a PDF reader, such as the free Adobe Reader. ePUB is the currently the most standard format for tablets and other devices (e.g., iPad, IPhone, Android, Blackberry, Nook, Sony, etc.) The software or “App” required to view ePub varies and free options are available. Adobe Digital Editions is available on many platforms. For a list of ePub readers search your device’s “App”.
 
Q: Will I be able to view my eBooks offline without an internet connection?
A: Yes. After the initial download, add your eBook to your eReader’s bookshelf. The book will then be stored within the device and can be accessed without an internet connection. You can then read offline anytime anywhere!
 
Q: Can I print and share my eBook with others?
A: No, the eBook can only be viewed within your applications. It shares the same copyright security as would a printed version. As stated in all of our publications:
"No part of this publication may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system , or transmitted in any form by any means – electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise – without prior written permission of the publisher."
 
Q: What does it mean to Activate the Reader?
A: Many eBooks including IIARF titles contain security measures to ensure the copyright protection and rightful ownership of the publication. Activation identifies you as the owner of your eBook.
 
Q: Can I print and copy my eBooks?
A: No. The IIA Research Foundation holds security settings on our eBooks that prevent printing and copying.
 
Q: How do I recover my eBook if my device breaks or gets lost?
A: Your titles are stored with us. Log into your IIARF bookstore account to access your previously purchased titles from your digital locker.
 
Q: Can I back-up my titles?
A: Yes. You may store your titles on a removable storage such as a USB drive or SD card which can be read on other devices. Some companies offer cloud storage.
 
Q: Will my bookmarks sync between devices?
A: No. These features are different per device and eBook App reader.
 
Q: How do I rotate/flip the position of my page?
A: This is a challenge with the code used to convert our printable publications into eBooks. We are looking to remedy this issue.
 
Q:What is your refund policy?
A: We are unable to accept returns on eBooks at this time. Once purchased, the eBook is stored in your digital locker and we are unable to remove it. eBooks cannot be refunded.
