Special Exam Instructions for Certain Countries Outside North America

The Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA®), Certification in Control Self-Assessment® (CCSA®), Certified Government Auditing Professional® (CGAP®), and Certified Financial Services Auditor® (CFSA®) are the only internationally accepted designations for internal auditors.

Candidates from the following countries must contact their local country representative for all exam matters:  Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Chinese Taiwan, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Namibia, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, and Turkey.

Candidates from the countries listed below must contact their local country representative to register for the exam, submit paperwork and payment fees, and receive assistance. Many of these institutes have signed certification agreements with The IIA that enable them to translate the exam into their native language, develop a regional Part IV, translate examination review materials, and register candidates according to local educational and professional norms. Many of these institutes also offer the exams in local languages.
