IIA Global Headquarters is engaged in one of the most ambitious and complex initiatives The Institute has undertaken since it was established more than 67 years ago! Our long-revered certification program has migrated to computer-based testing (CBT) so that internal auditors all around the world can sit for the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) exam, and very soon our three specialty exams - Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP), and Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA) - anytime and can receive immediate test results. The purpose of this letter is to provide a "certification update" to ensure you stay informed.

The behind-the-scenes work required to convert paper-and-pencil examinations in 16 languages to computer-based testing is very time-consuming, complicated, and cumbersome. In fact, to our knowledge, no other organization anywhere in the world has even attempted such a feat. The results, though, promise to be one of the best, most convenient and advantageous enhancements The IIA could make on behalf of our members and other customers in more than 120 countries all around the world.

CBT is now operating and available for you to access CIA testing. However, we are ever conscious of the inconvenience any transition of this magnitude can cause. We are working diligently to resolve and eliminate any issues that might hinder The IIA's excellent customer service. We ask for your patience should you experience customer service delays or registration issues as we fine-tune the process on the way to a fully efficient CBT process!

We invite you to experience and enjoy the benefits of CBT:

• Can choose the day and time most convenient for you with year-round testing.
• Will have access to more than 400 exam sites worldwide, offering a professional exam environment by Pearson VUE - a global leader in certification testing.
• Will answer exam questions on the computer for ease and accuracy.
• Immediately will receive unofficial results upon exam completion. (Results will be validated later and official notification will be made thereafter.)
• Can retake an exam part after 90 days, if you do not pass it.
• Will receive your certificate in the next quarterly mailing.

Please remember that, although the delivery process for our exams is changing, the value of an IIA certification will remain constant as one of the very best steps you can take to enhance your professionalism. Certification will continue to:
