Professional Recognition Credit for Part IV
CSA draws practitioners from various fields, including Internal Audit. Internal auditors may specialize in CSA, often implementing CSA through the audit program. To recognize this specialization, The IIA's Board of Regents has approved the Certification in Control Self-Assessment® (CCSA®) designation for Professional Recognition Credit for Part IV of the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) examination.
Currently registered and new CIA candidates who have successfully completed the CCSA exam are eligible to receive credit for Part IV of the CIA exam.
Candidates who are registered for an IIA specialty certification such as Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP), or Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA) are eligible to waive the fee for Part IV of the CIA exam.
