The Certified Financial Services Auditor^® (CFSA^®) is one of The IIA's specialty certifications that measures an individual's knowledge of, and proficiency in, audit principles and practices within the banking, insurance, and securities financial services industries. The exam format offers candidates a choice of three financial services disciplines — banking, insurance and securities.

New Computer-Based Testing
The IIA is in the process of transitioning its certification programs to computer-based testing (CBT). The IIA's specialty exams - Certification in Control Self-Assessment^® (CCSA^®), Certified Financial Services Auditor^® (CFSA^®), and Certified Government Auditing Professional^® (CGAP^®) - will now be part of a phased launch schedule which begins with the opening of CIA registrations on April 1 and continues through roll-out of the specialty exams in June 2008.
