The CIA designation remains the hallmark certification of the internal auditing profession, while the three specialty exams - CCSA, CGAP, and CFSA - serve an important role in the overall certification strategy of providing a diversified portfolio of audit certifications and providing options for candidates to receive Professional Recognition Credit for Part IV of the CIA exam.
