Auditor Roles in Government Performance Measurement Project

Prices Slashed! Only for courses delivered in calendar year 2010.

More help is available to fill out your chapter programs for this program year, or help you get a head start planning for the rest of 2010, by providing you with low priced training that is highly relevant for today’s auditors, especially those who audit government organizations.

History:

For three years, IIA chapters across North America have offered these courses, from the Auditor Roles in Government Performance Measurement Project, which has trained thousands of auditors. Here’s what some have been saying:

  • “The topic was perfect for NC auditors to meet our new performance auditing initiative. To have an instructor who had applied the principals was a definite plus.” Nikki Howard, Director, Internal Audit, North Carolina Education Lottery, and President, IIA Raleigh-Durham Chapter.

  • “I received a wealth of information that will be very useful to me in performing my job responsibilities.”  Karen Calhoun, Director of Audit, State of Florida, Office of Financial Regulation

Courses:

  • Auditing Performance Management Systems
  • A New Service Model: Auditor Roles in Government Performance Measurement
  • Assessing the Reliability and Relevance of Performance Information.
  • Assessing the Quality of Performance Reports
Length:
Courses are one day, and can provide 8 to 9 CPE credits. Inquire about half-day versions available of most courses, and whether a special two-day version of “Auditing PM Systems” is suitable for your group.

Instructors:
Our expert team of experienced instructors includes:
  • Steve Morgan, CIA, CGAP – former Chair, IIA’s North American Board / retired Austin City Auditor
  • Richard Tracy, CIA / retired Portland, Oregon, Audit Director
  • Stuart Grifel, CIA, CGAP / auditor for the Clerk and Comptroller, Palm Beach County, Florida
  • Paul Epstein / long-time government consultant and manager of the Auditor Roles in Government Performance Measurement Project.
All four instructors are performance measurement lifetime achievement award winners.

Pricing:

Chapters receive a discounted, inclusive price of only $1,900 $1,200 for a full day course for training delivered from now through the end of 2010, $3,450 $2,150 for two days, and $5,000 $3,100 for three days by the same instructor. The price is especially low as it covers both the fee and travel expenses of the instructor.* These prices can be offered because of a grant from the Sloan Foundation.
