The IIA's Annual Global Council
The Global Council provides a forum for institute leaders from around the world to give input and direction to the global board of directors and committees on issues pertaining to governance, strategy, and institute and member services.
Don’t miss out on the premier event for IIA leaders from around the world!
This special event will provide more time for input on topics impacting your profession and your Institute, and more interaction with colleagues from around the world through special social events and a full-day tour on Wednesday.
At last year’s meeting in Vienna, Austria, representatives from 65 Institutes provided key input into proposed strategies for IIA governance. During the 2012 Global Council, you will receive updates on key strategies, provide input into key issues and the future of The IIA as an organization, and exchange best practices on issues impacting your members.

REGISTER TODAY!
We invite you to participate in the 2012 GLOBAL COUNCIL and continue to help guide the future of our global organization. This is a unique, invitation-only event for The IIA’s top Institute leaders to have an impact on the direction of the internal auditing profession and The IIA, to share best practices and innovative programs with your colleagues from around the world, and to discuss challenges and opportunities with IIA Executive Officers and key IIA Headquarters’ staff.
Note that each IIA Institute has one permanent voting seat on the Global Council. As part of a global organization, every Institute is expected to be represented. Each Institute this year is limited to three delegates, with one designated as an official representative and the others attending as non-voting representatives. IIA Board members are also encouraged to attend, but will have no voting privileges unless they represent an Institute. The North American Board will designate the representatives from the US, Canada, and Caribbean.
All participants must preregister. There is no registration fee for the event and all lunches and dinners are provided. Delegates are responsible for all travel costs, hotel accommodations, and incidentals.
