ANNOUNCEMENT - COMPUTER-BASED TESTING:

The IIA is pleased to announce that certification testing is now available on a year-round basis through the new computer-based testing (CBT) process. Certification candidates will be able to take full advantage of computer-based testing anytime throughout the year in multiple languages.

Please check The IIA’s web site for program details and information on the registration process. (The registration process and timing may differ in countries in which the local IIA institute manages the registration process. Candidates should refer to The IIA’s web site for a list of these countries, along with contact information). Upon registering, a candidate will have six months to sit for the exam. Candidates who do not pass an exam part must wait 90 days before being allowed to retest.

For exam hosted inHong Kong, candidates will be allowed to take their exam at IIA-authorized Pearson VUE testing center. Candidates will have to apply and pay through this website (www.theiia.org/certification/certified-internal-auditor/certification-candidate-management-systems/) prior to registering with Pearson Vue.

  • The IIA-approved Pearson Vue exam sites will be listed on Pearson Vue’s website: www.pearsonvue.com/iia.
  • Since testing center hours are not standard across all centers and schedules can change, specific hours and site addresses are not available in a single printed document.
  • Candidates will be able to view schedules and get directions to a specific testing center on the Pearson Vue website.
  • As a candidate schedules an exam, he/she will see the calendar with the available testing days and times (subject to exam schedule availability).
  • In addition, once a candidate is scheduled for an exam, he/she will receive an email confirmation letter with directions to the chosen exam center.
