Our next offering is a 1/2 day seminar - FASB Convergence Standards and Fair Value Measurements, which will be presented on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Melville Marriott from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Participants will earn 4 CPE credits. (Note: Registration time is 8:30)This seminar will provide an update on the FASB and IASB’s convergence projects with a focus on the latest exposure drafts over revenue recognition and leasing with insight into how these convergence standards could significantly impact company’s accounting models as well as their IT systems, business operations, and people. **COSO Releases Draft Update to Internal Control–Integrated Framework for Public Comment** The updated draft Framework addresses changes in the business environment and associated risks since its original publication in 1992. COSO worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in updating it for organizations to adapt to increasing complexity and pace of change, mitigate risks to the achievement of objectives, and provide reliable information to support sound decision-making. One of the most significant enhancements is the codification of the original internal control concepts into 17 principles and supporting attributes that further support organizations as they apply judgment in managing risk and improving performance.
