About the IIA and Our Chapter

Established in 1941, The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is an international professional association with world headquarters in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The IIA has approximately 90,000 members in internal auditing, risk management, governance, internal control, IT audit, education, and security. With global representation, The Institute is the recognized authority, principal educator, and acknowledged leader in certification, research, and technological guidance for the profession worldwide.

The Inland Empire Chapter was The IIA's 257th affiliate. The Inland Empire chapter has more than 250 members representing internal audit management, staff, educators and students who are associated with a broad spectum of industries and organizations. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the Internal Auditing profession. We encourage everyone to achieve Certified Internal Auditor status and provide a balanced program of continuing education of the highest caliber which facilitates the certification process.

The Inland Empire chapter is particularly proud of having consistently attained the highest of Institute rankings for service to the membership for over ten years. That success derives from a firm commitment to the belief that quality begets quality.   Help Us Reach Gold in the CAP Program!

We're always calculating our Chapter Achievement Program points and we need to know when our members participate in speaking on an internal audit topic at a meeting, seminar, or CPE class.  Additional points are awarded for submitting an article to a trade publication such as The Internal Auditor, CAE Bulletin, IIA Educator, and other specialty newsletters.
