IIA New Orleans Chapter - Meeting - Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 12:00 to 1:00PM Virtualization Security
Location:  Palace Café, 605 Canal Street, between Chartres and Royal Streets.  1 Hour CPE.  Attendance is limited.  Speaker Bio: 
Ghazi is a Director in KPMG’s Information Protection and Business Resiliency practice. He is a technical lead with more than 12 years of infrastructure security, system implementation and application security experience. Relevant experience includes network security related activities from desktop security management to network design and architecture.

Ghazi also serves as a subject matter professional for NERC CIP compliance and Smart Grid security. Ghazi also has extensive experience in leading and delivering security assessments and serves as the lead Security Manager for KPMG’s southwest region. Ghazi’s current and past clients included leading entities in the power and utility, oil and gas, and financial industries.

In addition, Ghazi has substantial experience leading and coordinating IT advisory and internal audit engagements across several industries, with a focus on power and utilities. Ghazi currently manages various internal audit co-sourcing engagements with leading utility and oil and gas companies and delivers a wide array of security projects. He has served as project manager with responsibility for planning, budgeting, execution, and delivery of IT security assessments, smart grid security, NERC CIP compliance, data privacy, business continuity, disaster recovery, IT governance, IT performance, IT risk assessment, infrastructure risk assessments and diagnostics.

Background
Ghazi joined KPMG in 2005 as a security specialist. Prior to KPMG, Ghazi has served as an independent IT consultant  with a focus on Active Directory and MS Exchange architecture. Ghazi has also served as a network administrator at University of Houston.

Ghazi has received a Bachelor of Science in Finance, from University of Houston in 2003.

Welcome to the Institute of Internal Audit’s New Orleans Chapter website!  Whether you are one of our retirees, an active member,  or just passing through the city, we appreciate you taking the time to come to one of our luncheons or attend one of our seminars.

The IIA New Orleans Chapter is located in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Our Chapter supports the internal auditing profession in the New Orleans area by sponsoring lunch meetings, seminars, and promoting internal audit professional development via wide ranges of opportunity for those interested in internal auditing to participate in various professional activities. Our chapter has monthly meetings from September through May.

As  an affiliate of The Institute of Internal Auditors, the New Orleans Chapter would like to assure its members and non-members that we value your privacy.
