IIA Bridge Membership Program for Unemployed Members
IIA members who are unemployed due to the current economic environment, and who are actively seeking employment, may apply to the IIA Bridge Membership program. The Program consists of: • One-time, one-year complimentary individual membership • Online access only to Internal Auditor Magazine
To qualify for Bridge Membership, you must be an active member of the IIA for the past two or more years and actively seeking employment. In order to take advantage of this offer, you will need to download the application form from the website, and submit a written request certifying you are unemployed and meet the program qualifications. Your Articles and Presentations The IIA is looking for writers for the Newsletter! Perhaps you want a chance to improve your writing skills, or maybe want to expand your involvement with the IIA. Whatever your reason may be, we want to hear from you. The best part about it is you don’t need to be a great writer, that’s why we have editors! We will be releasing a Newsletter every other month starting September 2009. Some examples of the types of articles we’re looking for include, but are not limited to, current topics, CAE spotlights, member spotlight, recent events involving the IIA Philadelphia Chapter and its members, upcoming events, etc. Below are some of the criteria to keep in mind before submitting your article: The article must be -no more than one page in lengtho comprehensive o researched (if citing sources)o neutral (not bias)

Career Postings Does your organization have a job opening that they would like to post on the Career Posting Section of our Chapter Website? If so - please send your posting to Dave Aubrey. Send the item (in a WORD document) to be posted along with the title of the postion, as well as a 200 word paragraph briefly describing the postion. This represents a major step forward in the ability of our chapter to service our CPA members who are certified in other states, as well as Pennsylvania. Previously, we were accredited solely by the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy which benefited our PA CPA members only. This is part of our continuing to improve service to our profession.
