Co-President’s Message

We had an incredible start to the second half of the "chapter year" during our annual February joint meeting which was held with the local chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. The meeting had over 300 attendees, which made it the largest attended meeting in the history of our Chapter. With the February meeting concluded, our Chapter has now reached platinum status again. Platinum status is the top level of Chapter status and very few IIA chapters in the world have reached Platinum status as many times as we have. Congratulations to the entire Northeast Ohio IIA membership, the supportive member organizations, the Board of Governors, Chapter Officers, and volunteers. We did it again!!!

In order to keep this momentum going throughout the remainder of the chapter year, our John Carroll Symposium is coming up on March 5 at John Carroll University. This event promises to be one that should not be missed and is worth 8 CPEs.

This is also the time of year when we begin to plan for the 2012-2013 chapter year and we challenge every member to contribute to the organization by volunteering or taking a leadership role within one of the most respected IIA chapters in the entire world! This is a great way to sharpen your leadership skills, meet other professionals, and make a difference in the future direction of the chapter. If you would like to get involved as a volunteer, please contact Joe Nejman or Dave Gordon to discuss available opportunities.

Finally, please remember to mark your calendars for the Annual Chapter Golf Outing to be held on Friday, June 1st at CopperTop in Valley City. It's a great wayto end the "chapter year" and start the summer. We're looking for sponsors and prize donors and more information is available within the newsletter.
