Please join the IIA for a half day seminar focused on information technology security and strategy. Hear three dynamic speakers, network with local professionals, earn 3 CPE s and learn something new. Speaking at this event will be:
Dr. John D'Arcy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at the University of Notre Dame. He holds a B.S. in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University, an M.B.A. in Management Information Systems from LaSalle University, and a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Temple University. Prior to joining academia, he was employed by Ford Motor Company as a financial systems analyst. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on technology risk management and computer networking and security. Dr. D'Arcy's research interests include information security and computer ethics. In recent papers, he has examined the effectiveness of procedural and technical security controls in deterring computer abuse. His research also investigates individual and organizational factors that contribute to end user security behavior in the workplace.
Erika Del Giudice is a Manager in the Risk Consulting Practice focusing on IT Audit services and holds the CISA and CRISC certifications. Erika is one of Crowe s thought leaders in the social media space and has developed a service offering to perform social media risk assessments. She works with clients on education of risks, benefits and uses of social media and how to implement a social media strategy to address the impact on their organization. She has helped major financial institutions remedy significant deficiencies in safeguarding consumer information.
Mike Chapple is Senior Director for Enterprise Support Services at the University of Notre Dame where he also teaches an undergraduate course on Information Security. In this role, he oversees the information security, IT architecture, project management, strategic planning and communications functions for the Office of Information Technologies. Prior to returning to ND, Mike served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of the Brand Institute, a Miami-based marketing consultancy. Mike also spent four years in the information security research group at the National Security Agency, serving as an active duty intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force. Mike earned both his bachelor s and doctoral degrees from Notre Dame in computer science & engineering. He also holds a MS in computer science from the University of Idaho and an MBA from Auburn University.
