Joint Meeting with FEIGovernance Briefing “A discussion of Audit Committee issues and leading practices” The Center for Corporate Governance encourages dialogue and knowledge sharing and provides thought leadership on governance issues to advance collaboration between corporations, board members, the accounting profession, academia, and government. Our agenda
In these unprecedented times, corporate governance is now top of mind and boards of directors are in the spotlight. We have seen a number of constituents weighing in on the governance arena including the SEC, Congress, the Treasury, credit and governance rating agencies, to name a few, with many reforms driven by investors who are looking for change. The expectation is clear; there is a need for board members to stay informed regarding possible regulatory or legislative issues, remain open minded about change and determining the stakeholders whose perceptions are most valued.
