James S. Fargason has two law degrees, including an advanced law degree in International and Comparative Law. He has been a member of the auditing and legal professions for over 20 years. He has worked for a variety of organizations including Deloitte, Dow, IBM, and the Federal Reserve Bank. He has conducted audit related services in Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. Dr. Fargason currently serves as a full time faculty member at LSU. Over the years, he has taught a variety of subjects including law, financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, fraud auditing, and cost accounting. He has won 7 teaching awards, including MBA Teacher of the Year Award. He currently holds the Lee D. & Cynthia C. Bloch Distinguished Professorship. He has written extensively for the IIA, including several works on auditing legal counsel. His recent book, Intellectual Property: Auditing the Process, can be found on Amazon.com. He is also a frequent speaker for IIA Seminars and International events, in addition to other speaking engagements. |
