Topic: IT Risk Assessment

The presenters will discuss practical approaches to performing IT Risk Assessment and including IT in the annual audit plan. The presentation will highlight:
        -  Identifying IT universe (critical systems/processes)
        -  Evaluation of risk
        -  Methods of conducting risk assessments
        -  Reporting results and audit plan development
        -  Emerging IT issues companies should be considering to include in their audit plan  

Speaker: Mark Takacs, Executive Director - Ernst & Young, LLP and Chris McKenna, Sr. Manager - Ernst & Young, LLP

Mark is an Executive Director in our Technology and Security Risk Services practice and serves as a leader in our Northern Indiana and West Michigan areas. Mark has over 17 years of experience in the technology risk advisory field serving various industries including insurance, healthcare, consumer and commercial products, defense, and distribution industries. Mark has a B.S. from Purdue University and is Certified Information Systems Auditor. He is a member of the West Michigan Chapter of ISACA.  Refer to his full bio for more information regarding his experiences.

Chris has been with Ernst & Young for 10 years.  He received a B.B.A. from Western Michigan University, with majors in Accountancy and Spanish. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant in the states of Michigan, Indiana and Illinois, is a member of the West Michigan Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors, represents Ernst & Young on the Western Michigan University Faculty Advisory Board, continues to speak Spanish proficiently, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Refer to his full bio for more information regarding his experiences.

We cannot guarantee space will be available for individuals registering after 4PM.  Please wait for confirmation that your registration has been received before paying.  Additionally, there will be a $10 late registration fee in addition to the meeting cost at the time of payment.

There will also be a $10 late cancellation fee if your cancellation is not received by the registration deadline.  This fee can be avoided by notifying Adrienne Heidema (aheidema@MercBank.com) by the registration deadline or by finding someone else to take your place at the meeting.
