·        Registration, coffee, and an assortment of breakfast items for your enjoyment!

9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.:

·        Presentation – Thomas Sanglier and Xing Quan, Ernst & Young – "Internal Auditing during an Economic Downturn"

During these unprecedented times, what challenges may be facing internal audit?  For example: 

• As more organizations grapple with financial and operational pressures, expectations of our key stakeholders will likely change.
• Our relationships, objectivity and courage may be tested as pressure to produce may cause auditees to become more defensive and/or less conservative.
• We may need to do more with less, while not sacrificing quality.
• Identifying and responding to rapidly changing risks, including an increased risk of fraud.

Come hear, share and collaborate on strategies to address these and other challenges in the current business environment. The profession may be at a tipping point.  Will we lead, or become irrelevant?
