"Hotline Best Practices & Investigation Techniques"


According to the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), hotline programs are the number one method for detecting and deterring fraud, waste, and abuse. This presentation will share benchmarking information on hotline best practices and investigation techniques in both the private and public sectors.

Speaker: Jack Kirivong

Jack Kirivong is the National Accounts Director for Business Controls Inc., a consulting firm that helps organizations and government agencies mitigate internal risks related to fraud, waste, and abuse.  By focusing on the prevention, detection, assessment, and resolution of employee misconduct Business Controls is able to provide guidance on improving internal controls and processes.  Its five service areas include:  Whistleblower/Fraud Reporting Systems, Training & Consulting, Workplace Investigations, Behavioral Sciences and Security, Due Diligence & Pre-employment Screenings.  In order to assist its client's diverse needs Business Controls has assembled a wide range of experts including Certified Fraud Examiners, Forensic Clinicians, Security Experts, Business Consultants, Legal Counsel, and Certified Investigators.  

Jack is responsible for managing both the private and public sector markets. Jack is leading a government team that will cater to the needs of all government agencies (Federal, State, and Local).  Jack has 16 years of experience working for and with government agencies.  Four of those 16 years were spent in the US Army where Jack did tours in Iraq, Somalia, and Haiti.  Jack has spoken on "Hotline Best Practices" for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Association of Government Accountants (AGA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and various Federal, State & Local Government organizations.
