During the past years, Fraud reviews played a major role in most companies’ functions.  In the presentation, the first part will give a background about the importance of fraud review and the areas/factors usually considered during fraud planning and examination.  The first part is most crucial for professionals involved with auditing, financial reporting, and compliance in general.

On the other hand, the second part will highlight the developments related to CIA Arabization and the process, important factors and information related to it.

Profile of the Presenter

Mr. Abdulqadar Obaid Ali is the current President of UAE Internal Audit Association and Chief of Internal Audit for Dubai World, the holding company that manages a number of world-class companies such as DP World, Economic Zones World (EZW), Dry Docks World, Istithmar, etc.  In this role, he reports directly to the Audit Committee of Dubai World on Audit & Fraud related issues covering the DW Group.Prior to joining Dubai World, Mr. Abdulqader worked at Dubai Aluminum Company for 20 years holding various positions.  He has a cumulative work experience of 24+ years in the fields of IT, Quality, HR and Internal Audit.

 Mr. Abdulqader holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology from Arizona State University, U.S.A. and a Master of Science in Technology Management from Stirling University, Scotland, U.K.  He has successfully completed “The International General Management Program for Executive Development” conducted by International Institute of Management Development (IMD), Switzerland.  He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners in the U.S.
