In this session, Seth Cox will demonstrate some of the tools, hardware and software used in the art, or it is a science, of forensics.  Whether it is utilizing software like EnCase® Forensic the industry standard in computer forensic investigation technology, or Forensic TooKit (FTK) or other viable tools there are standards and strict protocols that must be followed to perform a successful forensic acquisition of electronically stored information (ESI).

About the Technical Session Presenters

Seth Cox is part of a Protiviti’s forensics group that responds within hours of an event and preserves electronic evidence that can be used to reconstruct events or could possibly be used in the prosecution of individuals responsible for causing the event. General details from real life examples will be discussed.
