Investigations of Employee Fraud

In this session, Samantha Parish from Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP will provide an overview of the typical fraud schemes perpetrated by employees and best practices on how to investigate them.  Samantha will discuss how these frauds are typically uncovered using real life examples, the red flags that may be evident indicating issues and internal audit procedures that can be undertaken to address employee fraud risks.

• Best practices for interviewing

• Internal audit procedures to specifically address employee fraud risks

About the Presenter

Samantha Parish, is a Senior Manager of Forensic and Dispute Services within the Financial Advisory Services group of Deloitte & Touche, LLP inSan Francisco.  Samantha specializes in fraud and forensic accounting investigations and providing consulting services in securities litigation.  She has ten years of experience in a variety of industries in particular technology media and telecommunications, banking and finance and manufacturing.  Prior to joining the San Francisco group, Ms Parish was a forensic manager in our Australian member firm practice.

Samantha currently leads global investigations focused on corporate fraud and anti-bribery and corruption related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
