IIA Joint Luncheon Meeting with ISACA Virginia Chapter at "The Place" Restaurant in Innsbrook.
Topic: I.T. Audit (Exact Title TBA).
Speaker: Dr. Val Vendrzyk, Univ of Richmond. 11:45-1:30
In this session, we will examine how the role of the IS auditor evolved since the early 1990s. Topics include the need to integrate financial and IS auditing, the impact of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, differences in perceptions between financial and IS auditors, and the challenges faced in teaching a course in Information Systems Audit and Control.
