Seminar TOPIC:

START THINKING ABOUT WHAT YOU’RE THINKING ABOUT!

DR. JAMES T. REESE, PHD

Advisor, International Association of Ethics Trainers

Diplomat, Society for Police and Criminal Psychology

Fellow, American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress

Often, the most difficult audit is one of discovering the impact our emotions and thoughts have on our behavior. The vast majority of professionals I have interviewed, from CEO’s to rank and file, readily admit that the most challenging part of their job is balance. They seem to have an inherent talent for ‘balancing their abilities’; it is their ‘ability to balance’ work and life that causes them the greatest difficulties. This balance must begin with a realistic audit of what you spend your time thinking about. All that a person achieves or fails to achieve is the direct result of their thoughts. Blending wit and wisdom, Dr. Reese takes his audiences to new levels of awareness and excitement about the future; explaining how clear-headed thoughts and emotions enable us to be more productive; bring balance to our lives; and success to our organizations. Open your mind; inventory your thoughts; get focused. Turn your job from a pension, into a passion. Start thinking about what you’re thinking about!

Dinner TOPIC:

PSYCHOPATHS: WHO THEY ARE; HOW THEY THINK; AND WHAT THEY DO

DR. JAMES T. REESE, PHD

Diplomat, Society for Police and Criminal Psychology

“The mysteries of our minds continue to be hidden in dark and elusive theories, postulates, axioms, and philosophies. None of these, however, serves all purposes. Scientists and psychologists have forever wondered how one person’s mind can create a philosopher whereas another’s mind creates a concert pianist. Why does one person become a criminal and another invest all of his or her live in the enforcement of laws? Why would one individual never consider taking the life of another, yet the same person would consider taking their own life? Why do some individuals appear to have no conscience, no regard for life or the rights of othes? Obviously, there remains a dark side of the mind. A side that evades the light of understanding.” Terrible deeds and evil people exert their perverse attraction on our psyches. We who consider ourselves ‘moral and upright’ are often fascinated by the behavior of the pitiless, merciless, and guiltless psychopath. Learn who they are, how they think, and what they do. It might be the most important and protective message you will ever hear. Share it with your families and others.
