Recognition Luncheon for Newly Certified and Getting True Value Out of Your IIA Membership presented by David Halm and Don Owens.
To Celebrate Another Highly Successful Chapter Year – The Central Ohio Chapter of The IIA will be holding an Appreciation and Recognition Lunch Mixer The meeting room will be arranged to promote networking among Chapter members. It will be a casual set-up with an array of appetizers and beverages for all to enjoy. Members attending will receive complementary gifts from the Chapter in appreciation of the continuing support the Chapter has enjoyed over the past several years. The program will include: · Recognizing those who have successful passed an IIA certification (CIA, CCSA, CFSA, and CGAP) in the past 12 months. They will attend as guests of the Chapter. · Reviewing the many professional benefits of being a member of The IIA – a 170,000 member strong professional organization. Handout materials on many of the programs and benefits will be available. Some of the topics to be discussed include: o Training Opportunities - conferences, seminars, onsite training, e-Learning, etc. o Opportunities to Advance Your Professional Career - whether through the CIA, CCSA, CFSA, or CGAP certification programs or many of the other programs offered o Increasing Knowledge - blogs, webcasts, surveys, e-newsletters, Internal Auditor magazine, etc. o Professional Guidance - The IIA Standards, practice advisories, practice guides, and the Common Body of Knowledge, and other enablers that assist you to perform at your very best o Leadership Development Involvement · Local Chapter Involvement – this is an ongoing opportunity to share information, support one another, and create mutually beneficial connections. Key to the continued success of the Chapter’s is the willingness of members to volunteer for officer, committee, and project positions. Assisting with the many needs of the Chapter is a lasting contribution in sustaining value to all. · Announcement of the Officers-elect for the coming chapter year (June 2010 – May 2011) We look forward to seeing you at the mixer.
