The presentation will cover key concepts within the new standards, considerations for service providers, and differences/similarities between SSAS 16, ISAE 3402 and the existing SAS 70 standard. The presentation will also cover how the changes to the standards impact both service organizations and user entities alike and the important things to consider now, including management's assertion and the new opportunities for report on control related to internal controls over financial reporting at user organizations. THE PRESENTER: Neville Morcom is a Director at Deloitte and a Technology and Healthcare professional, providing a broad range of Financial Statement and Internal Control Audit services to Deloitte's audit and non-audit clients. He is responsible for serving many of Deloitte's largest clients in Silicon Valley and the Northern Pacific Region. He currently leads a number of larger and medium SAS70 engagements, and regularly consults with SAS70 clients on the recently released SSAE16 and ISAE 3402 standards. Neville started his career as a Chartered Accountant in the audit practice of Deloitte South Africa and transitioned into Enterprise Risk Services to help establish that specialty group. Neville's more than 30 years of experience with Deloitte includes financial auditing, business process controls assessments and implementation assistance, information systems auditing and security consulting, enterprise risk management consulting including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, information systems testing and project management assessments, SAS 70 readiness assessments and attestations, business continuity management, and data quality and integrity consulting. He has served both public and private clients in a wide range of industries, including Technology, Health Care, Financial and Business Services, Consumer Business, Manufacturing, and Automotive.
