Internal Audit’s Role in Fraud Prevention & Detection”

Presented by Peter Millar

November 12, 2008

Learn about audit's increasing responsibility for fraud detection and prevention and how to address this growing area of concern through optimized audit analytics technology.  This session will focus on best practices to ensure your organization is taking a proactive stance in fighting fraud. Participants will hear a case study demonstrating a large-scale fraud and learn how audit analytics techniques were used to uncover the fraudulent activity and lapses in controls.

Find out how to:

  • Move from cyclical to continuous and risk-focused fraud prevention methods
Identify and assess areas of risk
Ensure data integrity - transactions have not been altered in any way
Conduct fraud investigations at any level in the organization in complete secrecy
