Managing the Generations:

Kevin Jacobs, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Human Resources at the University of Colorado Denver, will present “Managing Generations”. In an interactive group setting, you and your co-workers will enhance your knowledge of current and emerging trends in generational demographics and challenges they present the workforce. We will have the opportunity to discuss strategies to address theses new management challenges and learn what other organizations are doing in this area.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify and appreciate generational differences.
  2. Discover opportunities resulting from generational diversity.
  3. Plan for future needs.

About the Speaker: Kevin Jacobs:

A fifth generation Coloradan, Kevin lives in Broomfield with his wife, Susie, and daughters, Sophie and Hannah. Kevin has been an active volunteer in school, church, non-profit and other community organizations and activities for many years. In 2007, he was elected to a four-year term as a Councilmember representing the City and County of Broomfield’s ward 3. Kevin serves as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Human Resources at the University of Colorado Denver which employs over 8,000 employees on its Downtown Campus and Anschutz Medical Campus. His career in human resources began in 1987 at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he had earned a BA in Sociology. He has also worked as an Occupational and Compensation Specialist for the Colorado Department of Personnel, Director of Human Resources at the Colorado Department of Education and Director of Personnel for the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy.  Kevin received his MPA from the University of Colorado School of Public Affairs and enjoys writing and presenting on human resources and public policy topics.
