Shaw, B.A. (Hons), CMA, ACMA, CFE, CIA brings a wealth of subject matter expertise and experience to the position of CMA Ontario Director, Public Accounting, including a disciplined approach to change management. Over the course of his career to date, he has developed breadth and depth of practical knowledge and value-add application in internal control over financial reporting, disclosure controls & procedures, internal audit and anti-fraud programs. Mr. Shaw joins CMA Ontario from CIBC Internal Audit & Corporate Security, where he was a Senior Director and participated in SOX Certification from year 1 onwards. While directly responsible for Finance audits, where he liaised with external auditors, regulators and consultants, he also developed the risk-based audit methodology for SOX-sensitive businesses and oversight groups, both at the company-level and the transaction-level.
