In the current economy, a lot of companies are taking advantage of outsourcing.  This presentation will cover the key risks of outsourcing and what IT and Operational Auditors need to know to identify, mitigate or eliminate such risks.

Jennifer is a Manager in KPMG's Orange County IT Advisory Services practice. She holds several certifications, including an Outsourcing Professional certification, PMP and Six Sigma Green Belt.  She has extensive experience in evaluating IT and business processes, improving their architecture and performance, designing solutions, and outsourcing. She has worked with clients to assess, develop, and implement sourcing strategies, both nationally and internationally. She has worked in heterogeneous environments and possesses particular strength in project management, analysis, and process improvement.  One of Jennifer’s key outsourcing projects was related to managing an outsourcing vendor review for a large US bank. She coordinated KPMG onshore and offshore resources to conduct an assessment of outsourced functions at the offshore vendor sites to help ensure high-quality vendor operations and identify risks.

Ms. Sami Salam is a Manager in KPMG's advisory services practice.  Sami has over 10 years of experience in various areas of information security, risk management, process design and improvement, and training & development. She has served as project manager with responsibility for the planning, budgeting, execution, and delivery of software implementation assistance; Sarbanes-Oxley 404 engagements; and controls risk assessments. She has also provided subject matter knowledge and guidance on engagements related to ERP applications, outsourcing evaluations, and process design reviews.
