Gain a thorough understanding of the control and risk management framework from the Control (Internal) Environment all the way through to Monitoring.

Case applications (depending on time) are used to demonstrate each of the components so participants get a chance to apply the concepts directly.
Specific emphasis is given to:

Relationship of entity wide objectives to mission and vision and the related entity wide risks.

Understanding "value" and "uncertainty" in devising risk based controls.

Exploring stakeholders value relative to Objective Setting and Event Identification.

Consistent linking of ERM to the definition and practice of internal audit.

Exploring the foundation and tenants of the Internal Environment and its impact as the foundation of all of the ERM components.
