Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) - Expanding Internal Control

• Gain a thorough understanding of the control and risk management framework from the Control (Internal) Environment all the way through to Monitoring.
• Case applications (depending on time) are used to demonstrate each of the components so participants get a chance to apply the concepts directly.

Specific emphasis is given to:

• Relationship of entity wide objectives to mission and vision and the related entity wide risks.
• Understanding "value" and "uncertainty" in devising risk based controls.
• Exploring stakeholders value relative to Objective Setting and Event Identification.
• Consistent linking of ERM to the definition and practice of internal audit.
• Exploring the foundation and tenants of the Internal Environment and its impact as the foundation of all of the ERM components.
