Welcome to the Central Arkansas Chapter of IIA!August 2011 Greetings, I am excited to serve a second term as President for the Central Arkansas Chapter. As we close the 2010-2011 year I want to thank our Board for all of their time and efforts put into making it a success. We continued to serve our membership by offering a pair of seminars during the year. These seminars provided training in the areas of report writing, audit sampling, and internal controls. In addition, local speakers discussed a variety of industry related topics. We also promoted awareness to the internal audit profession. We awarded a scholarship to a pair of local students with an interest in this profession. The Central Arkansas Chapter also participated in UALR's "Meet the Accounting Professionals" event and celebration of International Accounting Day. These events allowed our chapter to educate accounting students on the internal audit industry. Because of your participation with our chapter events we are proud to announce that our chapter retained Platinum status! We look forward to participating in more local activities and offering more training opportunities for our members during the upcoming year.
