Welcome members of the Green Mountain Chapter and those of you who may be visiting our site. The 2009 – 2010 Chapter leadership team is excited to begin the year and we are continuing our planning efforts to identify how we can best bring you cost-effective programs and information that is relevant to you in today’s internal audit environment. Many organizations are facing tough economic challenges and perhaps faced with making business decisions that impact the risk environment of the organization increasing the importance of our role and opportunities for us to add value. As a member of the Green Mountain Chapter your feedback on what’s important to you is critical to the success of our chapter. We have established a Chapter e-mail address for you to communicate with our Board. Please share your ideas with us at contact.greenmountainchapter@gmail.com. I invite you to visit our site on a regular basis to see what new information is available. We have joined with our district chapters to inform you of training opportunities within the district. Check out the Events of Interest section of the website!!! As a way to promote the internal audit profession and develop the next generation of our membership, the Chapter leaders are working to establish relationships with our Vermont academic institutions to build an interest and understanding in what we do. If you are interested in sharing your knowledge and would like to develop your own professional skills by delivering a presentation to area students, please let us know. For those organizations that are in need of internal audit resources, I encourage you to post your positions on our website as a cost effective marketing tool. Wishing you all continued success.
