Greetings Chapter Members & Guests,

It is an honor to serve as your president for another year. The past two years have been very gratifying seeing new ideas go into place and succeed. I am committed to continue seeking new ways to reach out to all of our members and have our chapter be one that you are proud to be a member of. I would like to say thank you to each and every one of you and I look forward to this next year.

2010-2011 proved to be another successful year. Every IIA chapter participates in CAP (Chapter Achievement Program) each year. Our chapter achieved the “PLATINUM” status awarded by the national IIA for the THIRD year in a row. This is the highest-level awarded chapters that excel in service to members, service to the profession, and chapter administration. This achievement is a result of the support and participation of you, our members, in our chapter events and activities…..THANK YOU! I thought it would be fun to share with you our CAP information as we progress thru the year so look for “CAP STATS” in our monthly newsletters.

2011-2012 promises to be just as successful. Because our membership is spread out over a large geographic area, we are constantly looking for ways to better serve all of our members. We are excited about this year’s schedule and some of the changes we have made. Our 3 big events will be “Student Night” at the University of West Florida to present two $500 scholarships in November; a one-day fall seminar in December to be held in the Ft. Walton area; and a two-day spring seminar in May to be held in Pensacola. All of these are a joint effort with the local ACFE chapter. In addition to those events, we will continue joint chapter meetings in August (lunch), January (lunch), and March (dinner); as well as, lunch meetings in the Ft. Walton area in September and April. I also plan for us to have a “special event” during February.

Please invite those people you work with or know who would be interested in high quality CPE at an affordable price to attend our meetings with you. The Events tab will be updated with exact dates throughout the year so I encourage you to check it regularly.
