President's Message

As you plan your holiday calendar, we hope that you find time to attend our December 2nd meeting, which will feature Stacey Tedeschi of Resources Global presenting The Internal Auditors Guide to IFRS.

Our November meeting was a great success!  Court Maton and Ginny Smoot of PricewaterhouseCoopers delivered a great presentation - Looking Beyond 2008: Achieving Critical Stakeholder Expectations. We sincerely appreciate their participation and sponsorship of this meeting!

Our 50/50 raffles have been very well received.  The raffle proceeds will be split between the winner and our scholarship fund.  Thanks to the generosity of Hudson Consulting, we have also been able to augment the 50/50 raffle with a bi-monthly gift certificate, so we had two winners in November!  Please be sure to stop by the registration table to purchase your $5 ticket.

We are excited to announce a 2 day Fraud Seminar being held on Wednesday, February 25 and Thursday, February 26!  The training will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn - Courthouse Plaza. Our Chapter will also host a happy hour after the Wednesday training, so please save the date! Stay tuned for further details.

We are going to begin to use Survey Monkey for our Chapter surveys.  Please be sure to complete the user friendly surveys after each event you attend - this critical feedback is incredibly helpful to our leadership team as we plan future events.  Many thanks to Hubret Barnard, our Chapter Surveys Chairperson, for coordinating this effort.
