President's Message
As we end our chapter's 2008 fiscal year, I wish to say that it has been my honor and privelege to serve as our President. When we started fiscal 2008, we focused on three primary goals:
- Continuing to bring valuable continued professional education to our members at a reasonable price
- To broaden the diversity of our board and committees
- Continuing to work with local universities to promote the profession
I am proud to report that our chapter accomplished its goals and we have been recognized by the National IIA as a Gold level chapter. This is the 3rd consectitive year for which we have earned this recognition. We are also receiving recognition at the International conference in July for our achievements for creativity in service to our members and will be recognized as the Bronze winner in this category.
To all of you who provided financial support to our chapter and attended our seminars, thank you. Your support of our Chapter allows us to continue to provide quality continuing professional education and other services of value to our members.
As we start our new fiscal year, Mr. Ed Weiss has agreed to assume my role as President of our Chapter. A special thanks to Ed and the other members who have served as a Board of Director, an Officer or as a Committee member. Without your dedication it would have been impossible to reach the level of accomplishments that were achieved. I ask that you provide Ed with the same enthusiasm and support that you provided to me this past year.
