Hello everyone!

I’m Jennifer Jenkins, the Ozarks Chapter President for the 2011 - 2012 year. I thought I’d start off with a quick introduction. For the last two years I have served as the Vice President of our Chapter, prior to that I served for a year on our Board. I currently work for Marshfield Investment Company as the Internal Auditor for Metropolitan National Bank in Springfield. I’ve been with the company for over 5 years, I’ve been a bank internal auditor for over 10 years. I’m looking forward to serving as your Chapter President. Earlier this year, I attended the IIA’s Leadership Academy in Orlando, Florida and the IIA’s Midwest District Workshop in Kansas City, Missouri. I had the opportunity to meet other Chapter leaders from our District and received a lot of great information that I hope will benefit our Chapter in the upcoming year.

I can’t go much farther without saying thank you to Shannon Thomason, our outgoing President. Shannon did an excellent job the last two years of meeting the Chapters goals and members needs. She is continuing to serve the Chapter as a Board Member. The next time you see her, please tell her thanks for all of her hard work!

I would also like to say thank you to the members that completed the annual survey. The survey is very important as it lets the officers know how we can better meet your needs and how we can improve the Chapter. Your suggestions and feedback are very important to us and welcomed at any time.

The survey indicated our members are pleased with our luncheons. The goal of providing local, affordable and beneficial CPE opportunities to members will continue to be a priority in the upcoming year. Remember, our chapter’s meetings are a great networking and learning opportunity for our members. Not only do the meetings benefit Internal Auditors, but also our friends, colleagues, and students. We encourage everyone to invite a guest.

I’m very excited about the upcoming year and looking forward to meeting each of you at future Chapter events. Thank you all for your continued support of our Chapter.
