I am excited to see how the 2011/12 chapter year is unfolding. Your Board has been busy planning this year’s Educational program.  We kick off the year with John Radford, the State Controller on Wednesday September 21st. John will be speaking about his experience as a Trustee for the Financial Accounting Foundation and the challenges facing the FASB and GASB.  John will also discuss the broader role of internal auditing as a management challenge and how the internal audit function in Oregon State government has evolved over the years.

Please note that we have a new location for our monthly luncheon trainings, Marco Polo Global Restaurant.  We trust you will be pleased with the new venue and menu options.  We hope you will mark your calendars for this luncheon and future ones to be held the third Wednesday of each Month from September through May.  We are also in the planning stages for several seminars on topics that include Fraud, Audit Sampling and Ethics. Please feel free to contact me should you ever have any comments, questions or suggestions on training topics or presenters.
