Welcome to the Central Illinois Chapter of the IIA!

The Central Illinois Chapter of the IIA (CIC IIA) serves internal auditors that work in and around three major metropolitan areas in central Illinois: Peoria, Bloomington/Normal, and Decatur. We provide many different programs for our members. In recognition for our work, we have received the IIA's highest level of recognition, Platinum Chapter.

The following summarizes some of our activities:

Continuing Professional Education
The CIC IIA sponsors monthly 3 or 4 hour CPE programs. Additionally, we host multiple 8-hour long seminars each March that provide in depth coverage of topics applicable to internal auditing. The Events Schedule will provide additional information about these programs.

Academic Relations
The CIC IIA has an active academic relations program that interacts with the nine local colleges and universities in our area.  Some of our activities include on-campus presentations on internal auditing and a student manuscript contest
Additionally, we support the Internal Audit Education Partnership program at Bradley University.

Networking and Leadership Opportunities
A dedicated group of volunteers runs our chapter. We provide many opportunities to serve on local committees and executive board positions. Through these positions, one can meet internal auditing professionals at other organizations as well as continue to develop leadership and management skills.

Supporting IIA Programs
Several members of the CIC IIA serve on district, national, and international committees. Additionally, our chapter has made annual contributions to the
IIA Research Foundation and the Internal Auditing Academic Advancement Fund.

If you are currently not a member of the IIA, the
IIA's membership page provides information on the value of an IIA membership and how to join the IIA.

IIA members who wish to transfer their membership to the CIC IIA should contact customer services (custserv@theiia.org) in order to change their chapter affiliation. The CIC IIA  chapter code is #073.

We will continue to check-in with members after each monthly meeting to gain feedback on the sessions to ensure we are meeting and/or exceeding your expectations. Additionally, we are always in need of volunteers, so your participation on any level is greatly appreciated.

If you have any comments or suggestions, please use the "contact us" button on the top, left-side of this page.

Best Regards.

David Robinson
