Kansas Children's Service League Benefit
At the December meeting (Thursday, December 1, 2011), The Wichita Chapter IIA will once again be collecting gift items, gift cards and monetary donations to benefit the Kansas Children's Service League. Each year, the Kansas Children’s Service League touches the lives of more than 40,000 children and families in Kansas – helping parents become their best, creating safe and nurturing families for children, and assisting struggling parents. So please consider bringing a donation to the meeting to help with the KCSL's mission of assisting children and families in Kansas. See the list below for specific gift ideas. Want to know more about the KCSL? Visit the KCSL Web site.
The organization also has six Red Stocking Breakfasts at various locations across the entire state in December to raise money for KCSL's child abuse prevention programs and services. The Wichita breakfast will be at Carlos O'Kelly's on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, and Randy Steinert will have tickets available to this event at the December meeting for for just $10 (a savings of $2 over the advance ticket price). Tickets can also be purchased online at the Red Stocking Breakfasts section of the KCSL Web site or at the door on the day of the event ($12 in advance and $15 at the door).
You can help make the Holidays special for the children and families the Kansas Children’s Service League serves by purchasing items from KCSL’s wish list or making a donation to KCSL to fund programs and services.
