IIA Oman is pleased to announce the elections of its Executive Committee and invites all members to be a part of the elections & nominate themselves to a post in the executive committee which suits their credibility.

IIA Oman looks forward to see energetic, enthusiastic & able candidates in the IIA executive committee who would enhance & honor the efforts of the current executive committee.

A) The IIA Oman Executive Committee Posts:

 Please Note

 

1. Elected members will nominate the candidates to the above mentioned positions.
2. The President would be an Omani National
3. For Business continuity purpose 2 Ex-Executive Committee members would automatically be members in the newly formed Executive Committee

 

• Please find below the criteria for the post of Executive Committee members:

 

1. The candidate should be practicing the Internal Audit Profession
2. A minimum of 5 years experience is required in the Audit field
3. The candidate must possess & is most preferred to have Professional Qualifications backing his experience in the Audit Profession
4. 10 members will be elected for the committee

 

The Process:

 

         Stage One:

 

1. Nomination form will be available for all IIA members interested to apply to be elected.
2. Applications should be received within 10 days from announcing date.
3. The applicants have to fill the nomination form & attach their resume & email or fax it to the IIA Office.

 

Stage Two:

 

1. Names of nominees will be announced in IIA website
2. Each IIA member can elect 10 candidates for any of the executive post.
3. The members can nominate & send their nominations along with their C.V by fax or scan & email to the Administrator.
4. The elections of the IIA Oman Local Chapter would also be announced on the IIA Oman website for the information of all IIA members.
5. Two representatives from the Audit Committee would be requested to supervise and monitor the process of the elections.
6.  Reviewing of final applicants to be selected would be done by the Audit committee together with Executive committee representatives.
7.  Final election results of the 10 nominated candidates would be announced in the IIA Oman website by the end of February 2009.
8.  Posts of President, Vice President, Sec. and Treasurer will be elected within the elected members of the executive committee.
9. For Business continuity purpose 2 Ex-Executive Committee members would automatically be members in the newly formed Executive Committee.

 

Please revert incase of any assistance in the process & procedure above. The nominations of candidates wanting to be a part of the IIA Oman executive committee should be received by 12^th February.

Final list of selected nominations would be announced by 18^th February and the main results of the newly elected executive committee would be announced by March 1^st.
